On this #GivingTuesday, gifts to the Asphalt Institute Foundation support educational initiatives such as the Kirk Scholarship Program.
Samuel Lambert, a civil engineering/MBA student from the University of Kentucky, is a recipient of the Bill and Shireen Kirk Scholarship.
Sam shared, “This scholarship has alleviated a substantial part of the financial burden associated with my education. Now, I can fully focus on my academic and career growth. The Kirks’ kindness and generosity have made a remarkable difference in my life, and I am incredibly grateful for their support. I look forward to helping others in the same way they have helped me.”
The Kirk scholarships are awarded annually to third or fourth-year undergraduate, master’s or doctoral students studying business, chemistry, civil engineering, construction management, marketing or sales.
Scholarship funds totaling $25,000 were awarded to Sam (along with four other students) for the 2024-25 school year. Since the program’s inception in 2020, over $113,000 in scholarship funds have been awarded to students across the United States.
