2022 Strategic Asphalt Research (STAR) Symposium

The Asphalt Institute Foundation hosted the second STrategic Asphalt Research Symposium (STAR) on May 16-18, 2022, in Atlanta, GA.

The three-day event focused on identifying strategic research areas and topics that will lead to breakthrough change for the future of the asphalt industry. The foundation gathered individuals from around the world in Atlanta, GA, to discuss the asphalt technology of tomorrow.

Fred M. Fehsenfeld, Sr. Catalyst for Change Initiative

With a goal of promoting innovation in the asphalt industry, The Heritage Group announced a contribution of $600,000 to establish the Fred M. Fehsenfeld, Sr. Catalyst for Change Initiative. The donation honors the late Heritage Group founder who was a tireless asphalt industry supporter and philanthropist. The initiative will fund research and education that promotes advancement in the areas of public procurement innovation; transportation system design; asphalt pavement testing methodology; health, safety and environmental stewardship; and more.
