Asphalt Institute Foundation Contracts with Wood Mackenzie on Sustainability Initiative
In early January 2024, the AI Foundation concluded its request for proposal process by contracting with the global research and consultancy group, Wood Mackenzie, on an Analysis of the Petroleum Asphalt Binder Supply Chain in a Net-Zero World.
The nine-to-12-month project will yield outcomes and findings for senior industry professionals and AI member companies that comprehend, analyze and project various scenarios for policy, agency adoption and market changes related to external net-zero carbon goals.
The project is being funded by generous contributions from Associated Asphalt and Marathon Petroleum Company LP, which were earmarked for the Foundation’s sustainability initiative.
The AI Foundation’s Sustainability Oversight Panel will oversee the project in the coming months. Panel members include:
